The 2016 Olympics saw her win the gold medal in the team competition, which earned both she and Gabby the distinction of being the first Americans to ever win consecutive gold medals for a team. Also, silver medals were awarded in both the all-around individual and floor exercises. The break was for three years between each Olympics to not compete in gymnastics. Additionally, she was among the gold-winning American teams at two World Championships. Gymnastics was her first sport of choice at the age of two and her most favorite sport is floor exercises. Aly participates in The Uniting Against Lung Cancer Organization to honor and remember her mother. She wants to have an enviable career in the field of fashion. The leotards she wears as a signature along with socks and other garments are expected to be enlarged to include other items in the future.
